Nordic Skiing in Squamish
Glide, stride or skate. Sea to Sky country boasts some of North America's most scenic terrain.
You don’t have to travel too far to find snowcapped vistas, hefty snowfalls and a range of world-class cross-country skiing options. Whatever your ability, the scenic and legendary trails accommodate all levels of ambition and enthusiasm.
Where to go
Callaghan Valley
One of North America's most diverse nordic centres lies in the Callaghan Valley, approximately 50 kilometres north of Squamish.
A single Ski Callaghan Pass provides access to the Whistler Olympic Park and Callaghan Country trail systems, offering almost 90km of trails groomed for both classic and skate skiing, 30km of which are dog-friendly.
A former site of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games, Whistler Olympic Park offers expertly groomed trails for both classic and skate skiing, ranging from beginner (green) to expert (black). The venue also offers lessons, 5km of lighted trails for night skiing on Wednesdays mid-winter and a day lodge.
Ski at the base or right up into the alpine on the Callaghan Country trails as a day trip or stay overnight at Journeyman Lodge.
