Via Ferrata in Squamish
Squamish awes with its steep granite faces and spectacular views. If you have ever wondered what it would be like to ascend these immense walls, Via Ferrata is an exhilarating and safe way to satisfy your curiosity.
Italian for “iron way”, Via Ferrata is a set route of cables, ladder rungs and walkways, that allow those seeking vertical adventure a way to experience climbing without any prior knowledge. After donning your climbing harness and helmet, you’ll hike in old-growth forest, traverse a catwalk, cross suspended bridges and ascend glacier-worn rock slabs all within the company of a knowledgeable guide from Mountain Skills Academy & Adventures.
This is a fun and memorable experience suitable for ages 8 and up (younger children may join on private tours only). Expect to be treated to jaw-dropping views of Howe Sound and the beautiful snow-capped peaks of Sky Pilot above you.
