Whatever happened to Mt. Sheer?

Tuesday to Thursday This Spring Break Step Back in Time and learn about the Mt. Sheer Townsite.
Life in a remote mining town wasn’t easy. Living in Britannia or Mt. Sheer meant isolation from the outside world while working for the Mining Company. From 1904 to 1974, over 60,000 people from 50+ countries called this place home. But what happened to Mt. Sheer?
Where are the houses, the school, the church? What was life like there? Can we still visit? Join the interpreter-led program to uncover the story of Mt. Sheer. Offered at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. this Spring Break, this drop-in program is included with admission!
