Cheakamus Centre Eagle Viewing Day
Join the team at the Cheakamus Centre on Friday, January 5th for an awe-inspiring eagle viewing day and lunch.
Nestled in the heart of nature in Paradise Valley, this event offers a rare chance to learn about the majestic eagles in their wintering habitat. Included in your ticket price is the opportunity to savour a delightful hot lunch and warm beverage in the Environmental Learning Centre.
Lunch features delicious vegan chili with basmati rice and garlic naan bread, a cream of salmon chowder with wild rice and bannock, cookie and fruit. Hot drinks include tea, coffee and hot chocolate with mini marshmallows are included.
Warm up by the fire in the Coast Salish longhouse, before meandering over to the interpretive eagle display, apple pressing station or up to their farm and fish hatchery. Learn along the way about Coast Salish culture, how the fish hatchery runs and meet their family of goats, pigs, chickens and ducks, all the while enjoying the chatter of wintering bald eagles along the Cheakamus River.
There will be both morning (9:30am-12:00pm) and afternoon (12:30pm-3:00pm) viewings.
Connect with nature and marvel at the stunning eagles soaring against the picturesque backdrop of Cheakamus Centre's private grounds. Don't forget to bring your binoculars and cameras to capture these breathtaking moments!
